Diana Walls

Senior Director, Strategic Policy

Diana is a public affairs professional with over 12 years of experience in government relations and Aboriginal affairs with some of Western Canada’s leading natural resource companies. She helped shape and guide lasting changes to provincial fiscal policy, and has successfully stewarded Aboriginal and community relations for a wide range of projects in British Columbia and Alberta – from individual test wells to regional development plans and pan-provincial infrastructure projects.

Most recently, Diana provided professional advisory services to Canadian natural resource companies in the areas of government affairs, Aboriginal and multi-stakeholder relations. Prior to that, Diana was the Manager of Government and Aboriginal Relations for Penn West Exploration, one of Canada’s largest conventional oil and gas companies. Diana was twice recognized by the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers for her work and leadership in service to the industry.

After living in the United States for several years, she is now enjoying the fullness of life in Vancouver with her husband. If she’s not on her bike, in the mountains or on the water, you’ll likely find her sampling the diverse offerings of restaurants across the city. Active in the community, Diana volunteers with Atira Women’s Resource Society in Vancouver’s downtown east side.

Born and raised in Montreal, Diana obtained a degree in Economics from McGill University and has commenced studies toward a Masters Certificate in Sustainability Management at Harvard.
