AME BC Annual Awards

The AME BC Awards are presented annually to individuals or teams of individuals in recognition of their significant contributions, directly or indirectly, to enhance the mineral resource industry. The Awards are named in honour of eminent persons who are recognized for their distinguished service and contribution to the mineral exploration and mining industry and who were also long-time and loyal supporters of AME BC. The Awards are presented each year at AME BC’s annual Mineral Exploration Roundup conference in January, and are adjudicated by the AME BC Awards Committee.

To nominate an individual or team of up to four, please forward the full names of the nominee(s), the name of the award for which their name is being submitted and a brief paragraph outlining their achievements to Ed Kimura, Awards Committee Chair c/o AME BC, #800 - 889 West Pender Street, Vancouver, BC V6C 3B2 or by email A complete nomination will include:
  • Nomination letter addressed to Ed Kimura, Chair, Awards Committee
  • Two supporting letters addressed to Ed Kimura, Chair, Awards Committee

In addition to the awards listed below, AME BC also administers an Outreach Education Fund. The deadline for 2013 applications was Monday, September 30, 2013.

AME BC also recognizes current and former AME BC members via the AME BC Honourable Service Roll. The AME BC Membership and Liaison Committee reviews nominations and recommends additions to the Honourable Service Roll to AME BC’s Board of Directors.  The deadline for 2013 nominations was Friday, October 18, 2013.
