Kendra is the President and CEO of the Association for Mineral Exploration BC (“AME”). She is a Professional Geologist and senior mining executive with over 15 years of experience in various facets of the mineral exploration and mining industry. With a strong, inclusive and collaborative leadership style, Kendra provides AME with extensive, knowledge and experience in public geoscience, financial and capital markets, Indigenous engagement, as well as the social and regulatory landscapes that affect mineral exploration. Kendra’s leadership and advocacy helps to promote British Columbia as the top global jurisdiction for responsible and inclusive mineral exploration and development and as a major international hub for an industry that shares AME’s core values.
Kendra graduated from the University of Victoria with BSc in Earth Sciences and Geography and the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University with an MBA. Kendra also holds a Certificate in Responsible Leadership from Queen’s University and a Certificate in Mining Law from York University. Before joining AME, Kendra was the President of Independence Gold Corp., a BC and Yukon explorer, with increasing levels of responsibility from Project Geologist to President. She has also sat on numerous Boards, and currently sits on the Board of Directors for Britannia Mine Museum.

As Director, Regulatory and Technical Policy, Jonathan is responsible for anticipating, understanding, summarizing, evaluating and influencing public policy as it relates to mineral exploration and development, particularly in the strategic areas of land access and use, environment, health and safety and socio-economic considerations in BC.Read More
Jonathan joined AME in 2005. Jonathan grew up in the mining town of Elliot Lake, Ontario, and first moved to BC to study at the University of British Columbia, graduating with a B.A. in Geography. In addition to a background in communications for the mineral exploration and mining sector, Jonathan has studied, lived, and worked in Japan, and is the author of Inside the Torii Gate: The Journal of an Exchange Student in Japan.
He served as 2015-2016 Chair of the BC Technical & Research Committee on Reclamation, on which he represents AME and is a member of the Health & Safety Committee of the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada. He has received the Advanced Communicator Gold award from Toastmasters International, and is an active member of Vancore Toastmasters.

Kylie Williams is the Director, Communications and Member Relations at AME. She is an accomplished geologist, communications professional and award-winning writer specializing in earth science, technology, business, and responsible resource development. She worked as a geologist for many years before transitioning into communications. Prior to joining AME, Kylie ran a successful freelance writing business for over eight years, providing specialist writing services to mineral exploration and mining companies, industry associations and not-for-profits, and resource sector publications.Read More
With years of boots-on-the-ground industry experience and interviews with hundreds of AME members and stakeholders, Kylie truly understands the full spectrum of issues shaping mineral exploration and development in British Columbia and beyond. In the role of Director, Communications and Member Relations for AME, Kylie leverages her unique communication skills and experience to advocate on behalf of AME’s members and foster meaningful connections with government, First Nations, communities and AME’s strategic partners.

As Manager, Marketing and Communications, Jordan focuses on a wide range of marketing activity including PR and Media Relations, Digital Marketing, Measurement and Analytics, Social Media Management, Media Partnerships, Content Development, E-news as well as event support for AME Roundup. Jordan is the Staff Lead for the Communications and Marketing Committee and the Editorial Sub-Committee.

Upon completing a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Manchester UK and Newcastle Australia, Jordan has worked in PR and Marketing for 7 years across 3 continents for different industries including renewable energy, sustainability, business and retail.
For three years running, Jordan was elected as a Board Member for the Chartered Institute of Public Relations from 2015-2018, planning and executing seminars, talks and events for PR professionals in London and across the UK.

As Manager of Events & Conference Director, Savannah works closely with the Roundup Committee & Director of Communications and Member Relations to plan and execute the annual AME Roundup Conference. Savannah also plans, oversees, and executes AME’s other events throughout the year, including the Golf Tournament, Member Events, Webinars and Workshops.

Savannah joined the Association in October 2018 as the Volunteer & Events Coordinator for AME Roundup 2019. In March 2019, Savannah moved into the role of Manager, Events where she was responsible for the exhibit hall, keynotes, and networking events. Previously, Savannah worked in the events industry in food & beverage, hospitality, and décor.

Jasmine is the Member Services Coordinator at AME and reports to the Director, Events & Membership. Jasmine plays a key role for membership services in maintaining the efficiency of the member database, coordinating member benefits and handling of member inquiries. She also works closely with AME staff in the planning and execution of all AME Events and the annual AME Roundup conference.
Manager, Accounting and Human Resources
Becky is the Accounting and Human Resources Manager at AME and reports to the President and CEO. She is responsible for all of AME’s accounting functions as well as the administration of all Human Resources functions. Previously, Becky worked as an accountant in the tire recycling industry and for an energy systems manufacturer.
