The Association for Mineral Exploration BC (AME) is currently seeking a full-time, temporary (18-month) Coordinator, Digital Marketing for its Vancouver office. AME is the lead association for the BC-based mineral exploration and development industry. Established in 1912, AME represents, advocates, protects, and promotes the interests of thousands of members involved in the industry. AME engages with governments, Indigenous communities and other land users while supporting its members through clear initiatives, policy positions, events and tools that encourage a safe, inclusive, economically strong, and environmentally responsible mineral exploration and development industry based in British Columbia.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

This Coordinator, Digital Marketing position will report directly to AME’s Director, Communications and Member Relations, and will be expected to develop and deliver persuasive, accurate and timely content related to AME’s core business, initiatives and events across AME’s digital platforms. Specific duties include:

  • Plan, create and execute digital marketing materials, including email, social media, website, advertisements, and engagement campaigns
  • Support, monitor and grow AME’s social media presence
  • Develop and maintain accurate and engaging website content
  • Regularly monitor, measure and report on communications and marketing data and identify trends
  • Support AME committees and the delivery of events including the AME Roundup conference

Below are key qualifications and competencies for the Coordinator, Digital Marketing position:

  • A certification in a related field (communications, marketing, digital marketing, etc.), or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Experience managing professional social media channels and experience with WordPress, Constant Contact, Adobe Creative/Canva and/or similar platforms and graphic design programs is an asset
  • Ability to collate, analyze and clearly present digital marketing and communication metrics
  • Ability to communicate with authenticity, confidence and respect when representing AME and to be focused, effective, informative, and inclusive in daily interactions – in-person, online and written
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work as a team and build strong relationships
  • Understanding the mineral exploration and development industry is an asset
  • Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends, overtime and travel as required
