The Association for Mineral Exploration (AME) has called several member town hall meetings in October and November. AME will provide updates and capture feedback on important proposed and upcoming changes for British Columbia’s mineral exploration sector. This is key to support our advocacy efforts with government.

Meetings are being held throughout the province and online to give all members opportunities to comment and guide our advocacy – whatever your perspective, it is important that we hear it.

The meetings will focus on important BC policy items, such as:

  • Proposed changes to the Heritage Conservation Act
  • A six-month review of the Mineral Claims Consultation Framework
  • Government processing of early-stage mineral exploration permits (Notices of Work)
  • Provincial land use planning initiatives

All of these items are important to the vitality of BC’s mineral exploration sector, and the ability to develop the precious and critical minerals projects that the world needs.

All AME members are invited to join the meetings. To help with planning, we ask that you RSVP if possible below.
