This bulletin is part of AME’s ongoing coverage of the Mineral Claims Consultation Framework (MCCF) as a commitment to our members to ensure timely and transparent data is shared. Recent news from the Ministry of Mining and Critical Minerals indicates that 15 of 17 roles on the MCCF team. This has corresponded with more decisions being made, and the median approval is still above 200 days. However, for the first time since the system went live in 2025, the backlog of mineral claims declined. No claims have been declined due to consultation at this point.
