Chris Wild has over 35 years of experience associated with a wide range of mineral exploration and development projects and operating mines, mainly in BC, but extending to South America and Africa. He has served in executive positions for several BC-based junior mining companies and in senior technical roles at a number of BC mines including Goldstream and Mount Polley for Imperial Metals. As Project Manager with KGHM’s Ajax Project near Kamloops, B.C., he led the Project’s Environmental Assessment application process with the BC Government (EAO). Chris takes a consensus-based approach to mineral exploration and development. In roles in Canada and overseas he has managed exploration and development programs, spending considerable time meeting with local community leaders, addressing issues ranging from employment opportunities and local environmental concerns, to support for healthcare and education infrastructure.
Currently, Chris is Exploration Manager for Red Canyon Resources where he leads exploration planning, permitting activities and community engagement. He is a graduate of the Geological Engineering program at the University of British Columbia and is a Registered Professional Engineer in BC.
