Elaine is an accomplished leader with over 25 years of corporate experience. She has expertise in financial planning & analysis, financial & operational reporting, business process improvement, along with cost and project management. Her nearly two decades of mining industry experience is complemented with career experiences in engineering consulting, utility and telecom industries.

Executive leadership and board experience was started with PDO Solutions as co-founder and expanded with a term on the Advisory Council of CTEM where she currently serves as Finance committee chair.

Elaine is currently the Finance Business Partner for Rio Tinto at BC Works, providing financial guidance and business partnering to drive performance and profitability at a world-class aluminum smelter and hydro-power facility. Prior to joining Rio Tinto, she was the Director of Finance at Allnorth Consultants, a multidisciplinary engineering firm. Elaine was also an independent consultant with BC Hydro and TELUS supporting the complex financial requirements of their joint use governance committees. Elaine has expertise in project accounting and cost management on major capital construction projects through PDO Solutions, a firm she co-founded, and at Hatch Ltd, a global engineering consultancy.

Elaine is a graduate of BCIT, in Financial Management, and holds an Executive MBA from Simon Fraser University. She is certified as a Prosci Change Practitioner and Prince2 Agile Practitioner.
