Meeting on Tuesday, January 12
The Government of British Columbia is resuming caribou herd planning this January and would like to engage mineral tenure holders in order to build recovery scenarios that consider mineral exploration and development activities. Through the review and analysis of the scenarios, participants will develop recommendations to the government. AME members have decades of experience in exploring while protecting caribou habitat, and your input is appreciated and needed as the province continues herd planning.
The Ministry of Forests, Lands, Natural Resource Operations and Rural Development is hosting an overview meeting on Tuesday, January 12, from 10:30 AM to 12 noon. Please contact Jonathan Buchanan, Director, Regulatory and Technical Policy, at AME at [email protected] if you are interested in participating.
Please see the information flyer for details on mineral sector engagement, and see general information about the Caribou Recovery Program.
