Michael joined Macquarie in 2010. As a research analyst, he has gained a reputation with mining-savvy clients for his technically strong and insightful research, and his ability to screen for high quality assets. Prior to joining the investment business, Michael worked with a number of senior mining firms, including Cominco, Falconbridge, Noranda, and Lac Minerals. From 1996-2005 he co-founded and helped build Rubicon Minerals into a leading Canadian junior, holding senior financial and technical positions, including CFO and VP Exploration. He holds a BSc Geology from The University of British Columbia, and a Master’s degree in geology from Laurentian University. He is the Past President of the Association for Mineral Exploration (formerly the BC & Yukon Chamber of Mines).

Zara is a professional accountant (CPA, CGA) and a senior financial leader for public companies in the mineral exploration and development industry. She is the CFO and Corporate Secretary for Strongbow Exploration Inc., a public company listed on the TSX Venture Exchange. Zara was the CFO and Corporate Secretary of Kaminak Gold Corporation until Kaminak’s acquisition by Goldcorp in July 2016 in an all share transaction valued at $520 million. At Kaminak, she was responsible for all aspects of financial reporting, regulatory compliance and corporate governance. During the acquisition, Zara directed the corporate due diligence and partnered with the executive leadership team and external legal counsel on the negotiation and execution of the acquisition agreement. Prior to Kaminak, Zara served as the Vice-President, Finance and CFO for Stornoway Diamond Corporation where she was a member of the senior management team responsible for arranging and executing upon a series of inter-related financing transactions in excess of $900 million for the development of the Renard  Project in Quebec.

Rosie Moore is a consulting geologist and analyst. She started her career as a site field geologist in the Gulf of Mexico, Nevada, the Yukon, Peru, and Africa. She was Manager of Geology with Diamond Fields on the prominent Voisey’s Bay project in Labrador and a VP at Pan American Silver and Bear Creek Mining. She gained securities experience as an analyst at Yorkton and was a buy side analyst for six years with Geologic Resource Partners, a Boston-based hedge fund where, during the global financial crisis, she took on venture capital roles in managing fund investment companies. Since 2011 she has held various consulting roles, most recently to Hecla Mining, who seconded her to interim President and CEO of Dolly Varden Silver, a Hecla investment. In 2016, she led Dolly Varden through joint BC and Ontario Securities Commission hearings – against her client Hecla – and prevailed with favorable rulings on an insufficient take-over offer. Rosie is currently on the boards of Trifecta Gold and two private exploration companies. She holds BS and MS degrees in Geology from Kent State University in Ohio.
