Ms. Maggie Layman is a professional geologist with 18 years’ mineral exploration experience in diverse ore deposits throughout Canada and Mexico. Maggie is currently the Vice President of Exploration for
Osisko Development Corp and led the Barkerville Gold technical team on the Cariboo Gold Project from exploration to feasibility, running successful and compliant drill programs for the last seven years. Prior
to joining Osisko, Ms. Layman worked as a drill manager and project geologist for Vale and Independence Gold Corp. Ms. Layman holds a B.Sc. from Memorial University of Newfoundland and is registered as
a Professional Geologist with the Association of Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia.

Maggie has been an active volunteer with AME since 2014. Maggie volunteered with the former AME Indigenous Relations and Reconciliation Committee (2014-2020), the Roundup Committee (2018) and the AME Mentorship program (2019 – present). Maggie is passionate about advancing exploration programs to the next stage by building talented and diverse teams, taking on technical challenges and ensuring a strong ESG performance.
