Public support for mineral exploration and development in British Columbia is strengthened through informed and collaborative dialogue with all sectors of the community.

At AME, we support the work of various regional exploration groups and specialist partners with their public educational outreach across BC. The events and resources developed by these groups seek to engage audiences outside of the industry in order to raise awareness and inform the public about the value of mineral exploration and mining.

MineralsEd supports teachers to develop classroom materials related to minerals, mining and geoscience and delivers workshops and field trips for teachers and their students.

The Britannia Mine Museum preserves the material and social history of mining in BC to educate the public about mining: past, present and future.

Below BC connects a range of audiences with all aspects of earth science with creative, engaging and compelling events while providing resources both online and in-person.

KEG has developed a successful outreach program including school visits, public lectures, grants, and scholarships to help educate and inform the public about mining and prospecting in the region.

SEG engages with schools, community organizations and First Nations to bring information about the mineral exploration and the benefits to the economy of the northwest and the province.

The East Kootenay Chamber of Mines (EKCM) encourage support for exploration and mining activities through increased public awareness and understanding through interactive educational programs in schools and events.
