Happily married and with two little kids, Sean Kennedy is dedicated to working to preserve their rights to earn a living in a healthy British Columbia exploration industry. Born, raised, and residing in the East Kootenay, Sean is a fourth-generation Kootenay area prospector. His earliest memories are of being dragged around in the bush by his dad and two older brothers, all of whom are still active, full-time prospectors in BC. Sean is a sole-proprietor and has worked full-time in the exploration industry since 1999, both as a contract prospector and as an independent property generator. Throughout those years he’s seen some good times but has also had to take shares for debt.
Sean is an active member of the East Kootenay Chamber of Mines (EKCM) working on advocacy, conference planning, and helping manage the EKCM Core Library. He works closely with several junior exploration companies that operate in BC and abroad. He and his family have optioned numerous properties to junior and major companies in BC.
