In this webinar, Teck EDI and culture specialists will discuss their strategy to foster an equitable and inclusive workplace that is representative of the communities in which they operate. From policies to practices to proof points, Teck will share experiences and lessons learned from efforts to create a safe and respectful work environment.

Speakers

Tori D’Avella: As Lead of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion at Teck Resources, Tori works across the business to foster a workplace where everyone experiences dignity and respect. Prior to joining Teck, Tori consulted with a range of organizations on Indigenous engagement, leadership development, strategic planning, and listening and evaluation in service of cultivating equitable and inclusive culture. Tori holds a Masters of Science in Organization Development from Pepperdine University’s Graziadio School of Business and Management and an Economics Undergraduate Degree from Queen’s University.

María Paz Alarcón Fiorentino: María Paz Alarcón Fiorentino is Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Specialist at Teck Resources Limited for Chile. In her role, Maria Paz leads, plans and executes initiatives for DE&I Strategy in Chile, inline with Global EDI Strategy. Maria Paz holds a Business and Administration BA, Master’s degree in Economic Analysis from U Chile and a Master’s degree in Development, Gender and Education from University College of London. She has led diversity management, gender equality, education and sustainability projects in the United Kingdom and Chile.
