We are heartbroken to announce the passing of George Woollett on the 24th of July, 2018. He will be sadly missed by his wife Virginia; sons James (Sophie) and Gordon (Linda); grandchildren Michael, Ethan, Lily-Anne, and Matthew; and brother Laurie (Patricia). George is predeceased by his son Michael. George started working with Eldorado Mining and Refining at Port Radium NWT in 1956 and had a long and successful career as a geologist, cofounding Trigg, Woollett and Associates in 1967. George became a mentor to many young geologists. He was a kind, gentle family man who was a role model to all who knew him. A Celebration of his Life will take place at 1:00 pm on Thursday, Aug. 2, 2018 at Hainstock’s Funeral Home, 9810 – 34 Avenue, Edmonton. In lieu of flowers donations to either the Alzheimer’s Society or to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
