Born in North Battleford Saskatchewan June 30 1930 and passed in Port Alberni BC on April 30 2017. Jim was a geological engineer whose career took him into many corners of the earth, and sometimes into a few deep pits, in over 27 countries. He was adventurous and courageous with passions that included music, art, sports and some really strange cuisine! He had a great sense of humour that was often directed at his tendency to forgetfulness: “I bought a book to improve my memory but forgot it on the plane.” No need to worry about memory now, Jim, just enjoy your latest adventure.
