Tourism Vancouver

We look forward to welcoming everyone as we go back to the East Building – Under the Sails! All sessions and displays will be on the Main Level at the Vancouver Convention Centre East in 2019. As we head into the fall and look forward to Mineral Exploration Roundup 2019, we will continue to post updates on newly scheduled programming and what we’re excited about on our social channels. Watch roundup.amebc.ca for regular updates and details on registration.

AME’S 36th annual Mineral Exploration Roundup conference is where leaders in mineral exploration connect. Roundup is a driving force for mineral exploration in Western Canada and the North and South American Cordillera. We look forward to bringing people together around exploration while they reconnect to explore all the elements for discovery.

Elements for Discovery

This year’s theme communicates all the elements, skills and activities that go into exploration, plus the elements, metals and minerals awaiting discovery. Roundup 2019 will highlight the elements necessary for successful mineral exploration and connect explorers, suppliers, financiers, innovators and Indigenous groups around a world-renowned technical geoscience program. The synergies we cultivate at Roundup will energize all of us to discover and deliver the elements needed to support our shared low carbon future.

Speakers and Technical Programs

Learn from technical and financial experts in the mineral exploration and development community. Explorers from around the world come together to share their latest findings, stories, successes and innovative ideas to further the exploration industry. AME has developed a highly technical slate of short courses in conjunction with our partners the Mineral Deposit Research Unit, the Society of Economic Geologists and others.

Technical Sessions

New session themes this year: the Base and Precious Metals Technical Sessions will showcase selected exploration projects from across Canada and the world. The presentations will feature skilled mineral explorationists highlighting their recent successes based upon the elements of research, innovation, technical expertise and clever project management. The Precious Metals Session attendees will learn specifically about gold and silver projects. The Base Metals session will cover a broader range of commodities that could include copper, zinc, lead and nickel.
