Get ready for Roundup 2017, where leaders in mineral exploration connect. AME’s flagship conference returns under the Canada Place sails at the Vancouver Convention Centre from January 23 to 26, 2017. Information on Roundup is updated regularly on our new user-friendly website at amebc.ca/roundup.
Roundup 2017, Gearing Up for Discovery, is a must-attend conference for anyone in the mineral exploration and development industry, and will provide you with the knowledge and networking experiences that will guide you and your company through 2017 and beyond.
Back for another year are your favourite technical sessions: B.C./Yukon/Alaska highlights, Canada and international sessions (new time slots!) as well as the commodities and regional reviews. Come early with your family for Sunday’s public outreach Discovery Day to explore interactive displays for adults and kids alike. Here are some other exciting features:
Keynote speaker David Garofalo, Goldcorp
For the first time in its history, AME will be presenting a conference keynote speaker as part of Monday’s opening ceremonies, and we are thrilled to welcome David Garofalo, Goldcorp Inc.’s president and CEO, as the inaugural presenter on Monday, January 23.
Passport to Explore
This year we are proud to introduce Passport to Explore, a new way to learn about mineral exploration opportunities in British Columbia, Canada and around the world. The B.C., Yukon, Natural Resources Canada and Nova Scotia displays – among others – will have a new dedicated space on Level 2 of the convention centre’s East Building. Passport to Explore will also feature a new geoscience technical session and reception (Monday) as well as presentations (Tuesday) on activities and highlights from each jurisdiction.
Show Case Sessions
AME’s Environment, Health and Safety; Taxation, Securities and Investment; Land Access and Use; and Integrated Social Responsibility committees are collaborating on a Show Case Session addressing the theme “Gearing Up for Discovery” on Thursday, January 26. This is a must-attend session for industry leaders to get up to speed on best practices.
